We admit children to nursery as soon as possible after their 3rd birthday, as long as there is a place available. Please make sure you complete an admission form and return it to the school office before your child is 2 so that we can include them on our waiting list and plan for them to start with us.
A few months before your child’s 3rd birthday the nursery teacher will contact you to arrange a home visit. We do this for every nursery child as it helps us to get to know you and your child, identifies and difficulties your child may have at nursery, and helps you to understand your responsibilities as partners in your child’s education.
Because our nursery and school are over-subscribed, we will prioritise children who live in the school catchment area – this helps to ensure that all children in our nursery get places in our school.
RECEPTION – Frederick Nattrass Primary Academy offers places to all children from the autumn term after their fourth birthday. Children whose birthday is from:
For all admissions to the academy parents should contact Stockton Council Admissions Department to be allocated a place with us. This will be subject to there being space in the desired year group. For admission into the reception class for September, parents will be given an admission pack by their child’s nursery.
Please note that the Academy is oversubscribed in some year groups, and always in reception. If you wish your child to attend Frederick Nattrass please apply for a place as soon as possible as you may need to join a waiting list.
