Curriculum

At Frederick Nattrass Primary Academy, we aim to ensure that our children receive the best education possible – an education that develops our pupils into resilient, life-long learners, who have strong ambitions and moral purpose.

The broad and balanced curriculum at Frederick Nattrass encompasses the Northern Education Trust objective-led model, which is knowledge and skills based. Our curriculum focusses on linking learning to real life experiences and providing opportunity to develop vocabulary and embed and apply new learning in a range of contexts. In order to ‘protect the futures’ of our pupils, two strong themes run throughout our academy’s curriculum: ‘awareness of careers’ and ‘caring for our planet’. These themes aim to link all learning to broadening the choices which
our pupils will be able to make in the future.
