iASPIRE launch

Northern Education Trust is delighted to introduce a new initiative for our students called iASPIRE.

iASPIRE is a set of ten challenges, designed to celebrate participation, achievement and accomplishment within and beyond the curriculum.  It is intended to help motivate students, and help to push themselves out of their comfort zone; encourage them to make a positive contribution to their local community; and develop interpersonal and leadership skills.

By completing the iASPIRE challenges, students are preparing themselves for the next stage in their education, and in their lives.

At Key Stage 2, students will gain confidence and valuable life experiences.  They will mix with wider groups of students and develop different aspects of their personality, which will help them to prepare to be successful at secondary school.

Students will receive an iASPIRE passport, where they will record their achievement of each challenge, and badges will be awarded as they progress through the challenges:

Ruby Badge Completion of 4 iASPIRE challenges
Emerald Badge Completion of 6 iASPIRE challenges
Sapphire Badge Completion of 8 iASPIRE challenges
Diamond Badge Completion of 10 iASPIRE challenges

Evidence may sometimes be required from home, which could be a signed note or an email to confirm the student has completed the challenge.  Parents/carers will be invited to regular celebration assemblies, to see your child receive their badges, and student achievement will be celebrated through the weekly PROUD events, as well as various other methods within academies.

The challenges can be seen below:
