July 15, 2019
On Monday 16th July, all of the children and staff at Frederick Nattrass visited the beach for the day. This year, we went to Seaton Carew, on Hartlepool’s coast. We had heard how clean and tidy this beach was and, as lot of classes had been learning about Plastic Pollution, we decided to visit.
We took our packed lunches, buckets and spades and had a fantastic day in the sun. Temperatures soared and all children and adults were coated in suncream and wearing suncream! (Some teachers still got sunburnt though!)
Some Year 2 children came up the fantastic idea to take some bags with us and tidy up any rubbish we could find, while we were there. So when we went for a paddle we cleaned up any extra rubbish we could as well. All the children were so kind and caring about the beach and not a spot of rubbish was left at Seaton Carew, we even cleaned up rubbish that wasn’t ours!
What a fantastic day!
